The June VOAD meeting is scheduled for next Tuesday, June 20th, 10 a.m. at Red Cross.

Julie Jenkle with OES is our presenter this month and will be speaking on Access & Functional Needs.  Please share this invitation to anyone you think would be interested.  Julie’s bio is below.

Julie has worked in the field of emergency management for over a decade, serving in both the non-profit and government sectors. As an Emergency Services Coordinator with the County of San Diego Office of Emergency Services, she is currently responsible for coordinating efforts related to emergency sheltering; access and functional needs planning; emergency feeding operations; transportation planning; and spontaneous volunteer management.

Julie has shared her expertise as a member of state design teams and national level committees and has proudly managed award winning projects that foster inclusive practices. Julie received her M.A. in Anthropology from New Mexico State University and her B.A. in Sociology from the University of Dayton.
